How Spreading Kindness Can Improve Your Health

Did you know that spreading kindness can give you a healthier heart and slow aging...along with a bunch of other benefits?

Acts of kindness are often accompanied by emotional warmth and that emotional warmth produces the hormone oxytocin in the brain and throughout the body. 🌟Oxytocin causes the release of a chemical called nitric oxide in blood vessels, which dilates (expands) the blood vessels and therefore it reduces blood pressure. So oxytocin is known as a “heart-protective” hormone because it protects the heart (by lowering blood pressure).
🌟Furthermore, Oxytocin also reduces levels of free radicals and inflammation in the cardiovascular system and thus slows aging at its source.
🌟My favorite benefit of spreading kindness... Kindness is contagious.
🌟When we’re kind, we inspire others to be kind, and it creates a ripple effect that spreads outwards to others and can change the world.
🌟In a time when we sometimes feel helpless with the world and troubled times going on around us, I truly believe we all have the power to change the world with kindness.
